I would like to echo Tim's words on this event. It will be a fantastic weekend and Jim and Helen are planning on fielding St. Egwin, Dougal (complete with new boiler), Count Louis and John. As always, these are subject to serviceability.

They are planning on running an unusual service as well, with trains departing from Twyford and running round the loop the normal way terminating at Evesham Vale. The loco will will then run across the points and reverse back around the loop in preparation to take the train back round the wrong way to Twyford (I did get all that right didn't I Tim???) .

I know both myself and Tim love being at the railway as it is run and staffed by really nice, friendly and very welcoming people who have a genuine love for railways as a whole. Tim will be there on Sunday driving St. Egwin, but sadly due to work commitments I am unable to make it :( :(

Whilst I'm talking about Evesham, it was really nice to finally meet Andrew (Mikado) and Lesley on Sunday and I know both myself and Tim had a brilliant day, despite the shocking weather at the start of it :)
Kind Regards

Mark

I'd just like to say thanks to all the Evesham Vale team for a great few hours today at a fabulous little railway with immaculate locos and stock. :D I've got over 100 photos to sift through, but have posted a few of Dougal with the new boiler here:

Yes we all had a great day, will attempt to get my few pictures online later.

What a difference it made leaving Evesham Vale station, in the wrong direction after a lay-over, almost got caught out the first time.

And having to get around the loop light engine in time, so as not to hold up the service train, was entertaining
