The photos are looking great so far - keep them coming!!

I have it on good authority from Phil Budd (by text-based telephonic communication) that all 6 locomotives will also be in steam next weekend as well due to this weekends' success. Advertisement by word-of-mouth, so spread it like a bushfire!!

Tim - next weekend perhaps, then...?? :P

Cheers,

Dom Greenop

Yes, sorry, I meant to say that as well.
It was being mentioned on the train 'communication system' and by staff at Exbury Central.
If forum members can get down to the New Forest next weekend, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I've added some of the images I took on Sunday to a Flickr account that I didn't know I had!!!
Only a few to start with, I have to edit most of my images in PhotoShop because of my appalling camera work....
Most are of the new black beast, more to add soon.

Thanks for the pics.

This engine ELLIE looks the same shape as DENZIL to me, is that a coincidence?

It's funny now to realize that when DENZIL was built it was notably big for this gauge. I remember photographing it at Penrhyn Point with the sun on it. Tony still had all the principal dimensions in his head.

True Simon, but then the current Lorna Doone is the same too..... And Denzil has a tender (amongst other more subtle differences) :)
