I'm forwarding the following request from Dai Pickup of Ravenglass:

----------------------
"I am researching the miniature lines of the late Colin Gilbert of Lapworth Hall in Warwickshire who died in 1969. He had lines of three gauges in the grounds of his residence, thought to be 10 1/4 ; 7 1/2 and 9 1/4.

Does anybody have any knowledge or reminiscences of the lines, stock (including present location) or photographs?

Any information would be gratefully received by:
david[dot]pickup[at]tiscali[dot]co[dot]uk
or 0I229 (Ravenglass) 7I7 628."

----------------------

Note the contact details above for sending any info. Dai is not a member of this group.

(Gilbert was instrumental in saving the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway from the scrap merchant in 1960 for preservation. Dai is researching for the 50th anniversary next year. He is grateful to those who have replied to previous requests elsewhere - apologies to those of you for whom this is a duplicate request.)

Robert
