Talk of a new Katie on one of the other modelling topics has reminded me that DJB engineering have brought out a 1/12th live steam model of Heywood's Katie. It was a limited edition of 50 and I believe all 50 were brought before manufacture of the model started. Anyway, I have found a video of an unpainted working on youtube.

Go to 1.40 to see Katie, I believe it is hauling Heywood coaches which are made by Triassic models as laser cut wood kits. It is stuff like this which makes me feel very tempted to change from 16mm/foot representing 2 feet to 1/12th, especially as they share a track gauge of 32mm.

I dunno, there was some pretty good stuff before then... :rolleyes
Seriously does look extremely good, I look forward to seeing one painted and lined. It is also worth keeping an eye out incase DJB bring out any more 1/12th live steam
