Hello
Seeing the 5in stock photos being posted I thought I'd balance them out with my most recent acquisition, a 5in gauge Don Young design Steam Quarry Hunslet, 'Attila' the Hun(slet) to be precise, (google it, took me a while to get the joke). I have only been able to get my hands on this because it was priced to suit my bank balance on the condition that I do not resell it and that it is run, loved & cherished. Having passed the hydraulic test yesterday, my dad and I decided to steam it up, check for any leaks and set the safety valves. All went well, we had it ticking over and it did so quite sweetly, I now eagerly look forward to a fortnight's time when hopefully the steam test can be passed and 'Attila' is taken to Bethesda for some trials on the Joys of Life Railway which will essentially be its 'home' line. I hope you agree as can be seen from these photos that it is quite a fine example of the design.

Seen with the coach I am currently borrowing which is based on Ffestiniog Railway No.10, 'Attila' is quite clearly a larger scale!

It's beautiful, and obviously well cared for judging by the patina of the paint and brasswork. You have a gem.

Had an awsome day today, passed the steam test, and drove my very own miniature loco for the first time! Didn't take my tripod and wasn't really in the mood for videoing, but I got some quite nice photos.

Where's that Will? I didn't think there was a raised track in the Porth area.
