The original was built by Chapman and Furneaux of Gateshead on Tyne for the Craghead Colliery near Stanley, County Durham, which was owned by Holmside & South Moor Collieries Ltd.

In 1896 Chapman and Furneaux took over the business of Black, Hawthorn and Co but continued using the Black Hawthorn name instead of its own. In 1902 the company ceased trading with the goodwill being purchased by R. and W. Hawthorn, Leslie and Co. The locomotive part of this company was transferred to Robert Stephenson in 1937.

Jud,
The drawings were part of the scalestock range bought by Chrish Fincken. As Maxitrak seem to have bought alot of the business, particularly the drawings, It might be worth trying them.
