Thanks yes that's interesting , a little bit more than I knew already.
I'd located the house, now redeveloped (Bing Maps) and the 1:2500 map from1974 onOldMaps postcode is WR14 2RP

I wonder if there are any photos?

This is one on may former and extant private railways in Worcestershire that I've discovered since the advent of the internet.

When I was growing up in North West Worcestershire railways like this were much less visible.

There is one photograph in the Heywood Society Journal article I referred to. It shows Trevor Guest [smartly attired in blazer and bow tie] standing beside his locomotive "Sonia" - now un-named and number 5059 with the tender lettered "LMS". The locomotive does not appear to be in steam. The photo was taken by Mr Creed.

Unfortunately, my copy of this particular Journal is already a copy, so will not scan well.

Ayreshire yeomanry is back, we have just had a day at Ingfield running a friends and family fun day. This was the first chance for her new owners to enjoy their new engine. Both were happy with only a few teething troubles, and she looked good running passed Royal Scot on one of the other trains

Thanks for the pic Gavin - I'm guessing AY has been sold from SRS then?

Good to see it back running again!
