See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khaZEh-2d0k

Looks like Plowmans Railroad is reopening in April and being run by the West Parley Miniature Engineering Group - current locos are two Roanokes, but visiting steam is expected.

Good to see the line back running again, just a shame it's not with the Dobwalls locos (a few of the CW carriages have survived in Dorset)

Thanks
Peter

It is good to see that the outdoor line here will survive. I get the impression that when the ex-Dobwalls stock arrived (and to a degree the hype surrounding it), the local council feared a 'theme park' of sorts springing up, hence the planning refusals. This seems to be a much more down to earth operation suited to the sites garden centre use.

There is a second video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T4m24Z1jpA& which shows the current state of some of the outdoor line.

See the new website for the railway - they are after both volunteers and visitors, so if you're in the area, have a look in!

Thanks
