We're opening our garden and 5" gauge garden line in North Essex on Sunday June 10th between 2pm and 5pm. The cause is the Motor Neurone Disease Association. We'll have a couple of ROR Hercules running (one ours, one visiting). If you are close to Colchester or Ipswich and would like to pay a visit, please drop me a line. and I will let you have directions. Thanks Gavin www.littlewarrenrailway.com |

Gavin, I would love to have visited and brought some of our stock with me, but Colchester is just too far away for a day trip. Can I just say I think it is a great thing you are doing and I hope you get a great turn out for the day. Ben |

Sorry I didn't reply sooner to either of the replies to my posting. I forgot to check the forum. We had a great day (we even had some sunshine after a week of showers) and with the help of a visiting loco from the Plas Bach Railway we carried more than a hundred passengers and raised a sizeable sum for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. We hope to repeat the event next year. Having a line we can ride in your garden has been great fun for entertaining family and friends, but opening it up to others for the day really brought it to life. Mr Bond, we might be able to arrange a visit, but we're not really geared up for welcoming a steam loco. Send me a message via our website and I will see what we can do. www.littlewarrenrailway.com |
