Just a little update of whats going on in the land of my 'trainset'![]() Polly and Dolgoch together. by Steve Purves, on Flickr The Polly is nearly there, boiler test in the next few weeks then a full repaint in to East African Railways maroon livery with all the trimmings. Estimated Completion 2-3 Months ![]() Rebuilt Polly 2 nearing completion. by Steve Purves, on Flickr The work in progress is the TR Dolgoch, which is a nearly running chassis which will be stripped and cleaned for paint one run on air. The boiler requires the backhead joint and 8 stays completing at which time it will be hydraulically tested to twice working pressure before moving on to the platework and boiler fittings. The proposed paint scheme for the Polly sounds fab! I have painted my Maxitrak Ruby in Darjeeling livery and it looks great, have also painted 2 coaches to match. Keep us updated with progress! |
