Few photos of 2-6-4T Tinkerbell "Ladybird" at Willen Lake:

Parked outside the shed (container) in August 2001 while work is finished on the new petrol loco.

Since these photos Ladybird has been rebuilt but not sure if currently operational, though last I heard the petrol loco was broken as well... Somewhere I have a set of photos from one of the chaps who set up this line showing it in it's heyday including photos of the rather nice 2-6-0 Judy.

Charles,
Very interesting to see your pictures of Willen MR! There have been some track alterations recently according to Minor Railways Online.

I believe though now Ladybird is now longer at Willen Lake and is now in private ownership. It was moved in 2004.

They now have two petrol locos there, including the one seen in picture 2. Here are two pictures sent to me by Jonathan James who kindly permits me to use his photographs on Miniature Railway World.

They are both taken by J.James on the 21st of April 2003.

Just found a collection of photos taken by Dave Hillier, who was one of the original owners. Amazing what you can find lurking on a hard drive!

2-6-0 "Judy" takes a packed train around a "wooded" section of the line.

4-6-2 "Britannia" and train in the early days approaches one of the level crossings.

"Judy" was sold on in 1995 to pay income tax and I think was in Cumbria, "Britannia" was with D. Hillier and was running at Beds MES.

Stacks more interesting photos on a floppy disk somewhere, if anyone is interested I'll have a look for them.

I always like seeing scale 7 1/4 locos. They aren't so common as Narrow Gauge locos in that gauge B) Judy looks like a Moors Valley loco
