Happened to stumble across this photo, purely by accident, as it happens!

Ahh, that is in fact the carriage shed :P We are now on the local OS map, and on Google map! The locos are the Mardyke before overhaul, and behind Aidan Favell's Hymek. Here's what the Mardyke looks like now:

This is an interesting topic! I think we need to have a 10.25" scale diesel gala!

John,
Funny you should say that we are thinking of a Diesel gala at Ingfield sometime in the future. Once I have completed my Class 23 Baby deltic, the plan would be to get as many 10 1/4 diesel locos together.
So far the possible line up could be subject to availablity and owners williness.
Home fleet
Class 23 - Baby deltic
Class 35 - Hymek
Coughing polly - shunter
If we ask nicely we would like.
Class 47 - Wiseman Bros if working
Class 73 - ED (visited Ingfield last year photo on website)
LMS 350 shunter
GWR rail car - flying Banana

Do you fancy popping down south with one of your 27's?

Hello Gav,

Sounds very interesting! My locos are probably built to a much larger scale but I see no reason why I couldn't bring one of them down...!

John, Gauging won't be a problem distance would be the only real issue. If plans come to something I'll Email an invite, next year will be our 40th so some kind if big do will be arranged.

Hi guys. I have a class 47 (ish) at Hastings. Its in an Intercity livery and is diesel Hydraulic. If you are thinking about a diesel Gala day and would like it to visit let me know. Its easy enough for me to transport it, its journeying up to the 10.25" gauge society Agm next month.
Dan.

Dan,
Cheers for the offer, I'll put it to the rest of the Ingfield group. The more the merrier, this is slowly starting to take shape. Hastings isn't too far just a little jump over the county line to West Sussex.
