Simon,

Thanks very much for posting updates and pictures. The new building is looking very nice, and so is the new website design.

Make sure you get pics of the new engine when it's delivered!

Thanks
Peter

 I doubt you would be able to get up to those speeds at Pulborough. You'd meet a curve sooner or later :P

There is a pic of Peggy upon arrival at Pulborough last Thursday on the SDLR website homepage. Click the banner in my signature, then 'Home' in the navbar on the left ;) I will get some close ups for you tomorrow ;)

Very nice, thought the lack of daylight doesn't help things ;)

Look forward to the close-ups, Simon.

Ladies & Gentleman, I present to you the latest addition to the SDLR fleet:

Posted Image

Exmoor Steam Railway 0-4-2T No. 334 'Peggy'. GER Blue, with black edging lined in red. Air braking fitted, along with a much deeper sounding whistle than that compared to 319. Also it does not have the air valve for creating the draught when lighting up that 319 has, as Exmoor have supplied a U pipe that slides down into the chimney.

Owing to the wet weather, I was only able to get a close up from the other side of the shed! Although I managed to get a full picture of 334 in better light than that on the website. Cab layout is exactly the same, although the blower valve is different and the pressure gauge has a slightly different font:

Merlin, the Roanoke, as mentioned previously has gained some nameplates and some more weights to give it some extra adhesion:

And a couple of pictures from today:
