You wait until you see the latest shots!

The online shop will be launched in mid January. However, La'al Ratty will not be available to pre-order until around June, depending on progress.

We hope to launch by TSC (September 7th 2008).

If you need anything, just ask. Happy to help a project that looks so professional and accurate even at this stage.
The Lister looks awesome and if you need any more reference shots (especially of coaches) I can provide you with pictures of the entire fleet.
Upset about the lack of the Perkins, though. I need something with lots of clag! :P But, I suppose Cyril will have to do!

It looks very promising (however I just couldn't work out for the life of me where the picture of the Mite below the one of Cyril was supposed to be, until I looked at the picture properties!)

I advise that you get in contact with the railway in the New Year about selling the finished product in the shops at Ravenglass and Dalegarth. I can put in a good word for you before then if you'd like.

Definitely a project that I'll be keeping an eye on for developments! :)
Keep up the good work!

Thanks all.

As with all of our add-ons, we will be looking into selling in the railways shop. We have agreements in place for our GGR and CPRR add-ons to be sold, just need to sort this one now!

The stocklist is highly provisional, those are the definates. So you may get your precious Perkins :D :P

Glad to see that its been well received here, work on the route is held at the moment for the Christmas period- ie I'm having a drink, but work will resume soon! Maybe for Elliot we should post the images without labels and let him guess where. By the way your website as well as several other ratty fotopic sites has been excellent reference for me as route builder, the ratty must be the best covered preserved line on fotopic, cheers lads its made my job easier! And the spout house picture- be assured thats an early largely unsceneried shot yet......

Yes, the lack of a bridge and lots of trees made us think that it was Fisherground crossing. Beckfoot lonnin needs a bit of work, though - there aren't any pot holes in your version!

Would love to see some pictures of Ravenglass, if you have started it yet.

Its difficult to depict pot-holes in standard MSTS road sections, I may work out something yet though. I aim to make a better dirt track texture though with grass growing up the middle which should help matters a little :), but a later task when scenery is in place.

Ravenglass is rather bare at the moment, just track and roads in place, but I have put in the mainline, river and estuary, as well as some of the fields the other side of the Mite. The river is at high tide (train sim can't depict changes in tide......) as it saves depicting the mudflats :). I've tried to make the Ravenglass track layout as near as possible to present day within the constraints of the sim.- so plenty of shunting scenario potential.........

Screenshots of Ravenglass, and other items, will only be released now when we are at a much more advanced stage and the entire group has allowed their release. This will probably mean that we will be waiting a couple of months before releasing any more shots to the public.

One point I should mention as we are speaking of Ravenglass - the next few weeks sees the remodelling of the carriage shed yard, including the removal of the(ancient) three-way point to roads 2, 3/4 and 5. Dalegarth siding is also in the process of being extended by about three track panels towards Ravenglass.

Thanks for that Elliot, I personally was not aware of this - Dave may have been though.

Thanks again.

Cheers for that.

The carriage shed yard is improvised slightly anyway- it's not possible to have a 3 way point in MSTS, so I've set it out like this with multiple turnouts into the 5 roads. I take it it will still be 5 roads?

Posted Image

If it is anything radically different from what I have now I'll alter it, but within the constraints of the the sim I don't think there are many other ways I could have set out 5 roads and points into the shed anyway. This is one area where a slight compromise has had to be made to satisfy the constraints of the simulator,. but all the surrounding buildings and correct shed roads will be there so it should detract from the realism too much. Another point where I've taken slight liberties is Muncaster Mill- I've kept the now removed bay platform so there can be more activity potential.

Extending the siding at Dalegarth will be a piece of cake and won't affect the already made paths for the route.

Well, roads 2-4 of the carriage shed were disconnected today. The only thing which I am certain of so far is that CS2 will come as a spur off CS1.

Possible Diagram...
********** _____________5
**********/*******______4
*********/_______/_______3
********/********* ______2
*******/__________/_______1
______/__________________Main

There are also route indicators going onto signals 1, 2, 3 and 17 (Platform 1-3 exit & Carriage Shed exit). The one for Signal 1 will read C (CS), M (Main) and L (Loco Shed), as far as I can remember. I presume this will be the same for 2 and 3, while 17 is likely to give a number (1/2/3).

Apologies for the asterixs. The diagram would not work otherwise.

Thanks for that, but such a set up would be impossible with the track system in the sim, I'll have an experiment but may have to leave it as is, but the main thing is there's 5 roads all connected to the main spur.

Scenery wise, north of Ravenglass landscaping is going well, I'm up to Miteside loop now with Mill Wood complete- and its nice and densely wooded.
