At long last I have updated the Shifting Sands website with details of some recent projects. Having been sidelined by other projects lately it has been good to finally update the site with my latest O-9 creations!

Fabulous work, Colin.

Your two bo-bo diesels are wonderfully evocative.
If only we could convince you to start building full-size versions on 15" or 7.25"...

Have to agree there, the black-and-white photo in particular evokes the spirit of Sylvia at Fairbourne :)

Col,
As a side thought, can you advise what the length, wheelbase and overhangs are on Jay?

The two railcars look a lot like the original Lenka...

Your kit bashing and scratchbuilding skills are second to none Colin ;)

Colin,

Your modelling skills are undeniably amazing. (Modelling trains that is, not yourself :P :P ). Thanks for sharing.

Hi Colin,

Thanks for sharing with the update - haven't been on Fotopic for a week, so could easily have missed this one! Great stuff there, both the diesel "story" and the upgrades to the passenger stock. You really do need that 35ft extension to the SMR to run all this stock on! I've just caught the "quiet" update you have done to the Gn15 gallery on your older Fotopic modelling site as well - also good stuff!

Keep up the good work B)

What a delightful railway! I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh sometime!

Colin. Any more updates??

Not at the moment I'm afraid, the layout hasn't been out it's storage box for several months :( Most of my modelling work has been concentrated elsewhere recently, on a small 'OO' project and the 1/24th scale Lister.

However, there has been some activity on the O9 front recently, all will be revealled soon.... No doubt after the 7mm scale narrow gauge do at Burton on Saturday and inspired by last weekend at Cleethorpes the layout will see the light of day soon!

Your train is cancelled due to the lack of the tea can on the footplate.
