Thanks for the pictures John, looking good! The start of a good season for the new operators hopefully.

Thanks

Some nice pics Porkchop :)

Is the steam loco still a resident?

Simon,

'Henry' was not included in the sale of the railway, from the previous operators, so presumably they still own it.

Any clues today on the steamer John?

Thanks

Owners spoke of 'developments' track extensions and if so they will need further locomotives - possibilities of a steam loco.

Nothing more definite than that.

Dragging up an old topic, but this line used to have 2 steam locos. I'm sure there used to be a red one called Ivor. Anyone know what happened to this?

Hello folks.

I know some of you have been to have a look at us since we took over in November 07, if you go to our website you will find a few photos to bring you up to date with what we are doing and hoping to do at FMR.
We welcome any comments or opinions that you might have, we are very new to railways but on a steep learning curve.

Good morning gentlemen.

We are still looking for a second loco to run at FMR as a back up for our Keef steam outline, it does need to be a bit on the heavy side as we have a steep gradient traveling back towards the shed.
Gavin Motley from Kirkby Green brought his type 37 diesel to try it out, although it had enough power to pull our carriages it was to light and slipped like mad.
So what have you got that you will part with, steam outline or diesel please?

David

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere on the forum but I came across this video of the new Darjeeling B Class undertaking some running in recently at the FMR -
