Links Rules Galactic Archives Character profiles	Many years ago, the sentient species of the Milky Way were nearly wiped out by a foe known as the Raxan. This species was terrible and cruel, its overriding hive mind directing it towards one purpose: conquest of all. The Raxan were a race of beings with no kindness or compassion, as well as being incapable of feeling any kind of emotion at all. The Raxan were beaten back, however, and under threat of annihilation the Raxan agreed to never again take up arms, and were monitored closely to make sure they would honor their word. For over five hundred years, the Milky Way Galaxy enjoyed relative peace and prosperity under the Federation of Planets. The galaxy was seemingly on its way towards Utopia, a new golden age of cooperation between races. However, that would not last. The Federation became bloated and corrupt. They mishandled many catastrophes, wronging several species that were considered to be minor in the galactic stage. Their mangled policies and crippling red tape led towards a violent uprising by a group known as the Rebellion. EIn addition, the Raxan seemed to be with them. The Rebellion "liberated" the surrounding planets and it appears that they had established an alliance with the Raxan. With the ultimate warrior race on their side, the Rebellion is a threat the Federation can no longer ignore. The galaxy is tearing apart at the seams. Level 1 Posts: 12 Group: Members Member #46 Joined: March 8, 2008	"The shit really hit the fan this time," Rios said as he looked out of the side of the dropship, his mask was up and he looked into the scenes below. It was a pure image of chaos. Unrest was well known in this city towards the Federation's policies on shipping, but no one suspected things to turn into a full on riot. Rios looked over to Salem as he checked his weaponry, Elliot saw him and looked up from his precious energy rifle, "Rios, tell me this... how the hell does a city on earth break out into a pro rebellion riot." Rios glanced down at the city, seeing firebombs being thrown and shops looted. "A lot of things arrive here from other planets, including ideas, smugglers bring in thing from rebellion space, trouble with this is, is that the rebellion pays smugglers to bring in propaganda. And them planting rebellion agents here doesn't improve the situation much." Rios went over the mission in his head, there were three confirmed rebellion agents, last sighted in the Continental hotel, they were to make they're way to the building and take the agents. There was a large bonus for bringing them in alive for questioning. Rios hated how the Rebellion waged war, they used every tactic necessary for victory. He saw the dropship begin to decelerate, and land on a rooftop about two blocks from their objective. Rios lowered his mask and talked into his com link, "Hey you can't bring us any closer" he heard the pilot reply, "This is as far as I can go, I can't use up all my fuel in case a squad on the ground needs extraction." Rios could tell that Salem had just swore under his breath despite his lowered mask, Rios paused before talking again, "Alright, thanks anyway" He checked his clip and hopped out of the dropship. Salem saw Rios step down from the dropship and followed him. He checked his com link and came behind Rios, "Guess you're taking point Rios, hey isn't this bullshit that they make us go up against Rebellion agents using non lethal rounds." Rios looked over to him, "It is bullshit, but they can't have us killing civilians either." Rios mentally smacked himself in the head, "Didn't think of that bro, alright army of two baby." He stayed close to Rios as he advanced to the roof entrance. Rios looked back and held up three fingers and counted down. Once he reached zero Salem kicked open the door and Rios advanced down the stairs, shotgun ready for whatever could happen. They would have to clear several buildings, but chances are that they would face little if any opposition until they reached the hotel, most of the rioters were in the streets and armed with bludgeoning weapons and crude firebombs, but they had learned fast in the military... never let you're guard down.

"sir, these people arent giving up, should we use lethal weapons?" asked a cop "no we cant, these are just innocent civilians, misled. we cant kill any of them. besides they only have civilian arms" said the captain. "lookout! Rocket Grenade!" said a police officer. Suddenly there was a big explosion and the armored APC flipped over. after the smoke cleared a walkie talkie in the hands of a dead riot police started transmitting. "Team delta, Team Delta! do you copy?"

Level 1 Posts: 12 Group: Members Member #46 Joined: March 8, 2008	ooc I'm waiting for fightingforfame to post so I don't want to go too far Salem heard the rocket propelled grenade and immediately ducked against the wall as the explosion sounded and he got showered in broken glass form the force. He looked back to Rios, he wasn't hurt at all but obviously in shell shock, Salem grabbed him and shoved him against the wall. "Shit, where the hell do civilians get RPG's I swear its like the federation is trying to get us killed." Rios gave out a nod, he probably didn't hear a lot of what Salem had just said. luckily Salem knew that the person using it would still be reloading the weapon to fire another shot while the officers were still stunned. Salem rose up form his cover and looked down the reflex sight on his weapon, just as he predicted the user was struggling to shove another rocket into the launcher and get it loaded. Salem used controlled fire and send several bolts at the gunman. They were only just high impact rubber sorrounded in a low intensity energy field instead of the metal bolds sheathed in plasma. But the gunman still fell to the ground, clutching his wounds. He immediately saw the officers rush into the building. He smiled and signaled to his partner to keep moving. Rios got his hearing back, he had shell shock many times before and he would be hearing the ring for awhile but he had to ignore it. They advanced through the building, they encountered no resistance. But they made sure not to let their guard down. Rios finally spoke, "hey don't you think that its a bit odd that rebellion agents would not only start a riot in this backwater city, but provide them with RPG's is leaving evidence, thats not rebellion agent's style." Salem merely glanced back as he kicked down another door. "I don't know and don't care, seriously Rios you and you're conspiracy theories" Rios simply continued to go through the building room by room. After several minutes he spoke again, "I just think its odd thats all" Salem just looked back again, "Honestly Rios why do you care, we take these guys down, we get paid, every things not some big scheme."

Newbie Posts: 8 Group: Members Member #45 Joined: February 21, 2008	Riots here, riots there....There was always riots on Earth lately, just hardly where Yuki Estuko lived. Yuki was walking home from training when the riots began. She tried to help, but was soon pushed into one of the hotels in the village. I hope my family is okay. Yuki thinks. "Does anyone know how this riot started?" Yuki asked to the people that was in the hotel.
