"That would be nice. I haven't had a real meal in awhile." Tetroneaque stated. Then something occurred to him that might prove a problem. "Only I don't have any of your currency." He added with a slight frown. His stomach continued to growl despite all the food he had already consumed. "I'll pay ya back once I get my first paycheck." Tetroneaque whispered to Serkane. "May we leave to go eat?" He asked Xynto. After all, he didn't want to offend his new boss by leaving before being dismissed. Again Tetroneaque's stomach sounded, letting everyone know nothing more would get done until it was satisfied. |

Xynto nodded. "Very well then. You can go. Contact me if you have any new information. " Serkane did a traditional gesture of respect. "I will. Thank you for everything. " "No thanks are necessary. " Serkane and Ezkuro leave, and Serkane checks his credit balance. There's more than I expected... I wonder if I'd regret asking to pay for Tetroneaque's meal. Aw, it'd be rude otherwise. "Hey, by the way, lunch is on me. " he remarked. "Sweet! I am so gonna eat as much as I possibly can!" replied Ezkuro. Serkane sighed. "I'm gonna regret this, aren't I?" "Hey, you're the one who offered to pay for everything. " (OOC: I have the feeling Serkane is gonna get a few gray feathers from this. ) |

Tetroneaque made a little bow of respect toward Xynto before leaving to follow Serkane and Ezkuro. Things definitely seemed to be looking up for the little lost scientist. He was glad to hear that they could get some real food now, and that Serkane had offered to pay. He trotted up beside the two strange, yet kind aliens. "Thank you for treating us to lunch Serkane. I'll find some way to show my gratitude once I get my hands on a decent lab. Just you watch, I'll make you something that'll be the envy of all your soldier buddies." He said with a laugh. "You too!" He said toward Ezkuro. He was already thinking up idea of what he could make them. He wanted to try and produce that new body armor he'd been tinkering with before he'd started on the matter transporter. Hopefully the data was still in his lab when they got there. First things first however, it was time to eat! "I smell something cooking up ahead... I'd say about a mile and a half away." He said as he sniffed the air. It was true, he had quite the nose for food. ( OOC: Heh heh, Serkane might be out of a small fortune unless he takes them to an all you can eat buffet! If that happens, woe unto the buffet! ) |

Serkane had a shocked look on his face after hearing that Tetroneaque had just smelled something a mile and a half away. I heard that lots of creatures had a great sense of smell... I myself can see much better than most. But that's just insane... "Tetroneaque, just in case, we'd better find an all-you-can-eat buffet. " "Sweet! " yelled Ezkuro. "Well... some things there could be sweet. " said Serkane, totally clueless about what Ezkuro meant. "Nevermind. I've been watching too many 20th century earth flicks. " "What are these 'flicks' of which you speak?" "Look, just forget it, dude. " "GAH! You're just messing with me now, aren't you?" "Yes. " "Whatever. I'll look for one. " he takes out his Personal Data Manager. "There's one about... a mile and a half away. Weird... " "Let's go, then. " "I'll get the ship. It's a bit far to walk. Or fly, in my case. " "In the meantime, I'll see if there are any hot chicks around. " "You do that... " "Don't you even know when I'm kidding? Do you honestly think I'm so impatient that I'd go hitting on random chicks because I can't wait 5 minutes? " "I'm not at liberty to answer that. " "Good answer. Now you'd better get the ship before I seriously consider doing that. " "Don't mind if I do. " (OOC: I just love those two. They were incredible together back on Trilland. ) |

The little kitsune couldn't help but snicker at the two as they exchanged quips. Tetroneaque had smug little smile on his face at hearing the place they'd be eating at was probably what he had smelled from there. Then what was said actually sunk in. All you can eat? Could there really be such a place!?! He thought to himself excitedly. There were no such things back on his planet. If you went out to eat you got a certain portion for a certain price and that was that. "This all you can eat type place... do they charge you by the pound or what?" He asked, knowing there had to be some sort of catch to it. Such a restaurant would never be able to afford to stay open on his planet unless there was some sort of catch. |

Serkane looked at Tetroneaque. "Well, they weigh the average amount a single person could eat, and then they charge you that. In other words, you pay the same no matter how much or how little you eat. " I hope they don't kick us out... "Tetroneaque, how much does your species eat, anyway? I get the feeling that your race might have a slightly different metabolism... " Yes, "slightly". More like by an order of magnitude. The ship started to move toward him, hovering above the ground yet avoiding pedestrians and other obstacles. "There it is. I figured I'd better recall it since this has been such an interesting conversation. Let's get in. " |

Tetroneaque hopped on into the ship, eager to be on the way to the food. He was quite hungry despite his earlier snack. "Well, the average Kitsune tends to eat about three times their own body weight in a single sitting and I eat a bit more than that." He said with a smile. His three tails were wagging back and forth now like a happy puppy. The thought of eating all he wanted was a nice thought indeed for him. "So how much do yall eat? I mean you two are both a bit bigger than me..." He said, curious as to their eating habits now. |

Serkane didn't know how to react to being told this. Ezkuro, too, was quite surprised at this. "Um... well... we eat about two thirds of our body weight a day, and that is considered a lot by the standards of most of the galaxy. " said Serkane. "Me? I'm personally surprised to find someone who eats even more than I do, and I need all the energy I can get to replenish my combustion chemicals. " "Now I'm REALLY glad I chose an all-you-can-eat place. I'd rather a corporation shoulder the bill by far. " "You sneaky little con artist..." "Stick it to those corporate suits, Ezzy!" Ezkuro turned from a joking manner to dead serious. "You do realize how much I hate that nickname..." "What's wrong with calling you Ezzy, Ezzy?" "Why you little!" Serkane backed down a little as Ezkuro's hand headed for his chest... and poked him ever so slightly. Ezkuro started cracking up."You really thought I was gonna hit you, didn't you?" "Ezkuro! You really scared me there. " "That was kind of the whole point. " "Why you! You shall pay for this insult you have dealt my people!" He flew up and gave Ezkuro a noogie. "That's something I learned from 20th century Earth movies! " "Hey, have you ever seen that one TV show about that ship? It had that crew of mostly humans and they tried to pass off humans with rubber foreheads and pointy ears as extraterrestrials? That one was so cheesy! I think it was called Star something... " "You mean the one with the giant space station that blew up planets?" "Not that one! That was a movie... " "Oh, now I remember. Funny thing, I can't remember the name either..." "Yeah. Why is Earth cinema so popular all of a sudden anyway?" "Probably because it's so new to the rest of the galaxy. It does have a charm, though, if a bit campy. Well, let's go where no man has gone before, eh? And by no man, I mean at least several thousand customers. " "Yes. Let's. " (OOC: One day, I'm sure that aliens will get a kick watching our science fiction and seeing just how ridiculous our aliens looked. Of course, I'm guilty of it, too, but I don't think many people would want to play as three-armed methane-based aliens with no eyes that communicate through pheromones. ) |

Tetroneaque couldn't help but laugh at the teasing Serkane and Ezkuro doled out on each other. He was totally lost as to the topic of conversation about humans and Earth cinema. It sounded interesting though, and he made a mental note to look into it more once he had some free time. "Oh, I can smell the food even better now. We're very close!" Tetroneaque was salivating now as his body picked up the smell of food in force. He was almost bouncing in his seat like some hyper active child thats had too much sugar. He'd never really had and friends before and hoped these two could become such. "Do you think we can eat so much that they'll throw us out?" Tetroneaque said in a sly tone, finding the idea comical. |

Serkane ignored Tetroneaque's question, not having much of an answer. The ship accelerated to top sublight speed, nearly crashing into another ship but the autopilot caused the ship to swerve just in time. "That was close... I don't see how human hands could navigate around all these ships. Even I couldn't have dodged that. " "Serkane, Tetroneaque had a question. " "Oh, right. If Tetroneaque tries to leave food for others, I don't think it'll be a problem. This restaurant is part of a chain spanning several planets. I doubt Tetroneaque will bankrupt anyone, even if the amount he eats is that absurd. " "I'm just wondering where it all goes... " "True. Tetroneaque, what exactly is it about you that requires so much food, anyway? Do all of your world's species require that much sustenance? " "Hey, maybe to him we seem like we're starving ourselves. " "Well, in a few minutes we'll find out exactly how much food he's capable of eating. " Ezkuro thought to himself, something he didn't do as often as he should. Maybe we could have Tetroneaque enter a few eating contests. Then we could have him get paid to eat as much as he wanted. Maybe I ought to have said that out loud. |

Tetroneaque covered his eyes as they almost ran into another ship, his ears going flat against his head. After a moment or two passed he peeked out from around his hands, glad to see that they had missed the collision. He quickly regained his composure, hoping that no one saw his fright. "Well, besides all the nutrition needed to keep our bodies running we also tend to store up energy for our growth spurts." Tetroneaque began to explain. "About every ten years or so my kind grow a new tail, and growing a whole new limb does tend to take quite a bit of energy." "Also my kind doesn't tend to sleep that much, averaging about four to five hours a day at most. We tend to keep busy." He added. "As for other species on my world, no they don't require as much sustenance on average except the larger animals and beasts... which we also tend to eat." He said with a chuckle. |

Serkane nodded. "I see. So, you grow new tails as you age? That's interesting. My species has a much simpler solution for identifying ages. The markings on the underside of our wings change slightly based on our health or age. " "Why would anyone want more than one tail?" "I'm pretty sure they'd grow whether they want it or not. " "You know what I mean. What's the evolutionary advantage of having so many tails?" "You know what, Ezkuro? I'm tired of this. The restaurant is up ahead, so let's just go ahead and eat. " |

"Well our psychic powers do tend to grow and manifest with the more tails we have. As to why that is... I really don't know." Tetroneaque said with a shrug. He'd never really given it much thought before, it was just something that happens with his kind. All these thoughts fled from his mind though at the mention of food. "Yay! Let's go eat!" Tetroneaque exclaimed as he started bouncing again. He seemed like a very excitable little fellow. |

Serkane shrugged. "Yeah, let's go eat. I'm hungry myself after all this excitement. " Serkane and Ezkuro walked through the door. A human came up to the counter. "Hello there. How can I help you?" Several more were helping some other customers. Humans. Ever since they got the ability to travel faster than light they've spread to every corner of the galaxy. It's like they were stuck indoors for their entire life and once they learned there was a world outside they wanted to see it ALL. Now they've become the tourists who never left. I don't have anything against them, but still, just because there's more than one planet to live on doesn't mean that Earth isn't still a nice place to live. (OOC: Honestly, if you just got the ability to go to alien worlds, would you decide that there wasn't a rush and that Earth was a fine planet, or would you want to pack your bags and at least visit another planet? Humans are still relatively recent to the galaxy, after all. ) "Table for three, please. " says Serkane aloud. "Right this way, sirs. " Serkane looked around hesitantly. He didn't forget that even on Xervis, there would be Rebellion sympathizers around. Perhaps there would be even more, considering that they were where near where all the decision-making was being made. Tetroneaque was easy to spot, and the Rebellion would probably have contacted all its operatives about him by now. Hopefully, Ezkuro's presence might intimidate the more cowardly members, but if their numbers were big enough they could cause some serious trouble. I should've gotten some bodyguards before we left. Wait, we are Tetroneaque's bodyguards. I just hope we can protect him well enough. |

Tetroneaque was a bit surprised at the appearance of these new aliens. They didn't have fur, feathers, scales, or even a carapace. They simply looked squishy and fleshy. It was kind of disturbing actually, even if a few had little tufts of fur on top of their heads. That simply seemed odd to the Kitsune. After the server took them to their table, Tetroneaque leaned in close to Serkane to whisper. "What are those beings?" He said, gesturing toward some humans. |
