Links Rules Galactic Archives Character profiles	Many years ago, the sentient species of the Milky Way were nearly wiped out by a foe known as the Raxan. This species was terrible and cruel, its overriding hive mind directing it towards one purpose: conquest of all. The Raxan were a race of beings with no kindness or compassion, as well as being incapable of feeling any kind of emotion at all. The Raxan were beaten back, however, and under threat of annihilation the Raxan agreed to never again take up arms, and were monitored closely to make sure they would honor their word. For over five hundred years, the Milky Way Galaxy enjoyed relative peace and prosperity under the Federation of Planets. The galaxy was seemingly on its way towards Utopia, a new golden age of cooperation between races. However, that would not last. The Federation became bloated and corrupt. They mishandled many catastrophes, wronging several species that were considered to be minor in the galactic stage. Their mangled policies and crippling red tape led towards a violent uprising by a group known as the Rebellion. EIn addition, the Raxan seemed to be with them. The Rebellion "liberated" the surrounding planets and it appears that they had established an alliance with the Raxan. With the ultimate warrior race on their side, the Rebellion is a threat the Federation can no longer ignore. The galaxy is tearing apart at the seams. He was ordered to simply deliver it to the researcher that had landed moments earlier. But the AI apparently didn't shut up. She just spoke again, it sounded like a woman's voice simply coming from his backpack, "Why do I need to stay in you're backpack, I'd rather just deliver myself, I"d be there by now." Vrachev just simply sped up his pace a bit faster, "I want you to stay in my backpack because you tried to turn a wrong corner... on purpose. And my orders were to make sure you got to the Kitsuni, and knowing you you'd probably wander off on you're own." Ly1yth just snapped back, "No I'd not!" there was a slight awkward pause before Ly1th spoke again, "We both know that's a lie...so what I just get bored with what tasks you give me. I know I made a few cameras smash themselves on the wall, it was funny." Vrachev just shook his head, he wanted to just take the little drone and smash it against the wall. He walked outside to where there was a small group upon a landing pad, about to enter a space craft, before he approached the group he muttered the the AI, "Please just shut up for a few seconds while I explain this mess." Vrachev walked up to the three, it looked like he was just on time. He saluted to the Falken who was obviously of higher rank and introduced himself, "Good evening gentleman, I am Leonid Vrachev. It this Tetroneaque?" Before he could answer Ly1th spoke from his backpack, "Leo... what's going on out there, there's no security cameras so I can't see anything... and it's dark in here." Vrachev just sighed to himself before speaking, "That was Lylyth, it's an AI that I was ordered to deliver to you, don't ask me why they assigned her to you at this last moment, but I was just following orders." Ly1yth just cut in, "I bet it has something do with the fact that he's the only researcher that I hadn't pissed off yet." Vrachev just shook his head again and unshouldered his backpack and opened it, looking for the drone. He dug around for a bit before he didn't find anything. He looked around before yelling out to her, he was tired of her messing with him. "Ha ha Lylyth... I get it, you want me fired. Freaking come out already, this is the guy that you're going to be working with." He looked over to the landing gear of the craft as a slight pink light formed as Ly1yth's hologram appeared. A pink woman was hiding behind the thin landing gear section, almost like a child during a game of hide and go seek. She walked out to the group, "You know I just like getting you pissed off... its' funny." Vrachev just gave one last salute before turning and walking away from the landing pad. He eased a bit when he realized it was someone from the Federation. He was startled once more when a distinctly feminine voice seemed to come out of nowhere. His ears flicked one way then the other as they searched for the source of the voice. Tetroneaque was about to ask a question when the Federation soldier simply left and a strange glowing pink female emerged onto the scene. His eyes were a bit wide, wondering what strange new being this was. "H-hello. I'm Tetroneaque." He said, stammering out a greeting. He raised one hand and sort of waved, still unsure of how he was supposed to greet her. Heck, he didn't even know what she was! "I hope you don't find these questions rude, but... what exactly are you and why were you assigned to me?" He tilted his head slightly to one side as a bit of confusion shown on his face.

"Wait, you're an AI? That's strange, I had no idea AI had advanced so far. " Ezkuro took a bit of time to collect himself. "So, you're a robot? You look awfully real to me. " "Take a closer look. It's a hologram. So, um, what's your name? " asked Serkane. Serkane turned to Tetroneaque. "Anyways, if you're sure about this and the stream can be traced to your homeworld... then that means we could find a way for you to go home. I just hope no one's there besides us. " Ezkuro stared as Ly1yth. "Ezkuro! Are you...?" "No, I was not checking her out. That would be inappropriate and incredibly bizarre. Besides, I prefer my women with scales, not to mention flesh!" Serkane chuckled. "Um, I was about to ask if you were coming. " Ezkuro grimaced. "...Yes. Yes, I'm coming. " Serkane rolled his eyes. He had heard much weirder things than Draken that found human-looking women attractive. Ezkuro spoke up. "I'm just going to change the subject. So, Mrs. AI person, why are you coming with us anyway?" (OOC: That felt kinda weird typing. Yes, Ezkuro has a weird "thing" for humans. The Falken looked over to the Draken for a moment. Ly1yth just raised an eyebrow at the falken and the Draken bickering, "Ezkuro! Are you...?" "No, I was not checking her out. That would be inappropriate and incredibly bizarre. Besides, I prefer my women with scales, not to mention flesh!" "Um, I was about to ask if you were coming. " "...Yes. Yes, I'm coming. " "I'm just going to change the subject. So, Mrs. AI person, why are you coming with us anyway?" She waited for a moment before replying, "I was assigned to the Kitsuni, I'm not too sure, if you went to a commanding officer I'm sure he'd ramble on about how I'm a "Valuable asset" but I think it has more to do with he's new and hasn't known be long enough to refuse me help." She laughed a bit at her joke before turning a bit more serious and turning to the Falken, "And yes I am that advanced... I was military or something like that, I've had so many memory wipes I can't tell you and details. Just that I developed a personality when they didn't want me too." She just shrugged and waited to see what'd they say. She actually wanted to get onto the ship. The landing pad was a dead zone and that always made her nervous, there were no networks for her to tap into and mess around with. She always got a bit twitchy after awhile... Research into AIs were outlawed in my galaxy after one decided that biological lifeforms were inferior and needed to be destroyed. That didn't end well. Ever since we've only been able to use VIs, or virtual intelligence. This... is... AWESOME!" Tetroneaque was happier than a kid on Christmas at being able to work with a real AI. He went up to the hologram and sort of poked it. "Ah, so you prefer to project a holographic image of how you picture yourself right? Fascinating!" Tetroneaque's tails were a blur as they moved from side to side. He seemed to have totally forgotten their current mission of going to his lab, as he was so enamored with this new AI. "So what's your name?" He asked happily.

Ever since we've only been able to use VIs, or virtual intelligence. This... is... AWESOME!" Ly1yth was a bit happy that her mischievous reputation didn't phase him. Normally researchers that she was presented too would simply sigh and make her do some boring monotonous task to try and fail to keep her out of trouble. The Kitsuni just slowly approached her and poked her. His fingers sliding right through the hologram while speaking to her, "Ah, so you prefer to project a holographic image of how you picture yourself right? Fascinating! So what's your name?" Ly1yth just paused for a moment, "First off please don't poke me, that just bothers the hell outta me, and my name is Ly1yth." She just cracked a smile before speaking again, "Well all I have is a tazer, so once I decide to eradicate all life it'll probably take awhile, I can barely fire a pistol without it flying off from the recoil." For once it would be a good time actually having someone who wants her presence, and not just trying to keep her busy.

He didn't seem fazed by her though, as his tails continued to wag rapidly. "A pleasure to meet you Lylyth, sorry about not being able to shake your hand." He smiled as he said that, though he was only joking a bit. "I'm sure you'll be a great assistance when we get to my lab, assuming you're compatible with my kind's technology. We'll be attempting to find the energy trail made by my matter transporter, assuming the trail is still there." Tetroneaque eyes went wide then. "Oh! We'd better get going then!" Tetroneaque bounded into Serkane's ship, knowing the drill by now. He stopped in the doorway and waved his hands. "Come on now, no time to dilly dally!"

Ly1yth cracked a smile at the joke. Most people saw her as a simple machine. A tool to be used, it was a bit odd actually being treated as a companion. The kitsuni just looked back, "I'm sure you'll be a great assistance when we get to my lab, assuming you're compatible with my kind's technology. We'll be attempting to find the energy trail made by my matter transporter, assuming the trail is still there." ly1yth smiled again, she was actually exited with being able to come into contact with alien technology. She would be able to link into the system and modify them a bit. Ly1yth always loves coming into contact with new programming to mess around with. "Oh! We'd better get going then!" Ly1yth just smiled again, "Alright." She didn't wait to see the other two's reactions to her. She actually didn't care, she was assigned to the Kitsuni and she would follow his orders. The hologram started to walk behind the Kitsuni, the drone staying inside the hologram.

It's been specifically modified to be incredibly fast, so it should get us there quickly. " he started walking. I can't believe we'll be going back to my home planet. Sure, we'll be nowhere near home, but at least Falke-level gravity will be a nice change of pace. Ezkuro followed. "So, Falke's your home planet, eh? I don't think I've been there. Tell me about it. " Serkane agreed. "Well, Falke is a low gravity planet, with a considerable amount of rainfall. The amount of humidity in the air makes it very hot, and the soil there is incredibly fertile. This means that much of the planet's surface is covered in forest of various kinds. In fact, deserts are very rare there. There's also considerable tectonic activity, so mountains are common. The wildlife there is incredibly beautiful and specialized. With so many plants around, a wide variety of herbivores have evolved there, and carnivores have taken advantage of this. Sure, there are Earthshakers, but they're rare and we've just learned how to track them and to bring them down before they hurt anyone. " Edited by Sapphire Flame, Aug 7 2008, 02:41 AM.

Of course he hadn't been prepared for the humidity, heat, and the giant hostile lifeforms that he'd encountered that first time. That was one of the main reasons his lab was in standby mode to conserve energy, as he'd panicked and launched a full salvo from all the labs remaining defense systems when an Earthshaker came to investigate the sudden and violent appearance of the lab. There was nothing but a smoldering crater where the Earthshaker had been. Tetroneaque's ears perked up as the thought came to him. "When we arrive, look for an area with odd energy signatures and a massive crater that was once an Earthshaker. I sort of got carried away and atomized the one that got near my lab..." Tetroneaque stated a bit ashamedly. His ears drooped down a little as he looked away from everyone. He hated admitting when he'd done something wrong, and blasting an endangered species seemed rather wrong to him. "Of course that sudden landmark might have drawn attention from the locals or the rebels already. Sorry for not mentioning it sooner." He added. While all that was enough to worry about, he knew how humid that jungle could get. Humidity and a thick fur coat you couldn't remove did not make for a comfortable situation.

Most civilians stay away from where earthshakers are known to be, for obvious reasons. Still, if someone found out it could be problematic. " "At least the place will be easy to find..." mused Ezkuro. "Yes. That's exactly what I'm afraid of. " The ship was up ahead. "All right, get in. "
