| Welcome to Mayhem Gaming. We hope you enjoy your visit. You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are some features you can't use. If you join our community, you'll be able to access member-only sections, and use many member-only features such as customizing your profile, sending personal messages, and voting in polls. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Join our community! Our community focuses on Pen & Paper RPG's such as Dungeons and Dragons, New World of Darkness, D20 Modern and other RPG systems. Those in our community play these games online, typically through an open source program called Traipse Openrpg, Maptool, Instant Messengers, or in our Play by Posts. Our membership is open to everyone worldwide. Our Registration page is here. After joining our community, you will receive an email. The email is sent by an admin after your membership has been validated. This validation usually takes less then 24 hours but until then you will only be able to view portions of the community. We require that members make at least one and only one post to The Portal, a section of the boards where you say hello and introduce yourself by telling us some of your gaming experience. Simply post a new thread in that section (linked below) with anything you would like to say. I recommend posting in this section verses posting to a game board because these posts are never deleted (over a years time a game board might get deleted if its no longer used). We look forward to your post and want to welcome you to our online community! Our forums are also family friendly so please watch your langauge when posting. In addition, for those who are rejoining the boards, we are glad you are doing so but bear in mind that you will also need to make a post to maintain your membership. IF YOU DO NOT MAKE A POST SHORTLY AFTER JOINING YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL BE DELETED. If you're already a member please log in to your account to access all of our features: |

Traipse Conversion
Our latest server is on Traipse Ornery Orc. Those users on OpenRPG (what used to be called standard) will have problems viewing the chat screen without seeing html code in the chat. You should receive an update notification once you log on to the Mayhem Gaming server. Download the Traipse.zip file to your dekstop, extract it there, run setup.py and then traipse.py. If you are having problems PM MINI, Metroknight, Cypher or nkdotzip or contact sirebral.

The first Beta for Pious Paladin is released and Sirebral needs everyone that can get involved to help out. As much as he needs people, he also needs them to be forgiving and understanding. He is only one person and there is a lot of material that is incomplete in the Beta. The more understanding you are of this fact, the more demanding he can accept from you.
So .. not everything works in Beta but that is where Sirebral needs the voice of the community. What's imperative to your needs? And backwards compatibility is already on the back burner, sorry. There is a huge change in the network and the map code. I am honestly hoping users will get a taste of what Pious Paladin can do, where it is headed, and drop the old tool kit championing everyone else over.
He wants to hear the voice of the community members. Of the changes that have been made, what do you like? Should something be dropped and go back a step, or would you like to see what has worked on completed?
If you are a interested in being a Beta tester, please let him know in the Pious Paladin Beta thread.

AetherCon

Grab your virtual dice bags folks and mark down November 16-18, 2012 on your calendar, the AetherCon Online RPG Convention is coming to your computer.
We will be featuring tabletop RPGs of all types throughout the weekend highlighted by four three day tournaments of Pathfinder, Call of Cthuhlu, Savage Worlds, and Shadowrun.
Additionally vendors, industry guests, and artists are also in our plans. We will be releasing free downloadable wallpapers throughout the months leading up to the con. You can find the first two, Gormic ‘Pretty’ Nangalmaar as done by White Wolf featured artist Brian LeBlanc and Klandeggin Moltenfist illustrated by Andre Freitas Cardozo here.
All of our events will be run using the Traipse next generation virtual tabletop and its companion browser-based web-client. Both are currently under development with the Beta version of Pious Paladin expected before year’s end. These programs will make it possible for a player to simply click on a link on the event website and ‘sit down at the table’ as it were as opposed to having to download, install, and boot up a separate program as was the case in the past. We are also planning for voice chat games using Skype technology for some events.
Be sure to visit our websites and show your support for AetherCon via Facebook and Twitter.
