Our community focuses on Pen & Paper RPG's such as Dungeons and Dragons, New World of Darkness, D20 Modern and other RPG systems. Those in our community play these games online, typically through an open source program called Traipse Openrpg, Maptool, Instant Messengers, or in our Play by Posts. Our membership is open to everyone worldwide. Our Registration page is here.
After joining our community, you will receive an email. The email is sent by an admin after your membership has been validated. This validation usually takes less then 24 hours but until then you will only be able to view portions of the community. We require that members make at least one and only one post to The Portal, a section of the boards where you say hello and introduce yourself by telling us some of your gaming experience. Simply post a new thread in that section (linked below) with anything you would like to say. I recommend posting in this section verses posting to a game board because these posts are never deleted (over a years time a game board might get deleted if its no longer used). We look forward to your post and want to welcome you to our online community! Our forums are also family friendly so please watch your langauge when posting.
In addition, for those who are rejoining the boards, we are glad you are doing so but bear in mind that you will also need to make a post to maintain your membership.
IF YOU DO NOT MAKE A POST SHORTLY AFTER JOINING YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL BE DELETED.

|Creating a custom node/die roller|

|One of my players wants to create a Crusader using the 3.5 Tome of Battle rules. He'll get 5 maneuvers to start and roll randomly at the beginning of each encounter to see which two he has access to right away, then once each round after. Does anyone know how to go about making a roller and/or node that will roll 1d5 to select one maneuver, then roll 1d5 again but disallow a repeat roll, and continue to force a new maneuver each time one is needed until all five are chosen then reset? Sorry if that isn't clear enough. I can try to explain better if anyone knows what I'm talking about.|

Short answer, no me.
I am working on a Card Deck node idea that would allow something like that. I am not sure how to implement it right now though.
In it's basic form it would be a Container node; the deck, and a Card node. The deck node would offer an option to shuffle the deck, look at discarded, used, or cards in hand.
The planned idea for network play is to have users submit their deck to the Server and then the server keeps track of the deck. For more casual play the users will be able to just pull cards from their Deck node at will.
The problem with implementation really comes down to how the cards present their data. I would like to include the option for images to be assigned to cards. I would like the cards to contain a certain amount of text also. Right now I am looking at using just text nodes.
So until I get a better idea of how to implement this .. no again. But the idea is in the works.
