Well, with Blair again refusing to name a departure date and Labour MPs rebelling left, right and center, how do you think he'll go? Will he stand down when he wants to so that the "orderly transferal of power" can happen? Or do you think that he'll "go on and on and on" and be forced out of office? Personally, I think he'll stay in power until he wants to go - despite his failures, the Labour party has had success with him, so I don't think they'll get rid of him. Still though, it would be funny to see him forced out of power.

I think he'll resign if he see's a huge drop in popularity, rather than go down in the books as a faliure. |

I think he will leave of his own accord, unless some national disaster happens and stays to create a sense of stability. but thats unlikely |

I can't believe it! Only 17 MPs signed the letter calling for him to resign... I doubt that such a small number is going to force him from office. EDIT: Resignations, rebellions, in-fighting... perhaps he might be forced out after all... |

People may have their problems with Mr Blair (I do) but he's not been the worst Prime Minister we've ever had. He's already said that he'll step down before the next election so I guess we have to hold him to that. People constantly urging him to step down, including members from his own party, are not going to help matters. A government needs to be united or it'll just harm the country instead of helping it. I do think he will leave before the election, but I think it will be on his own terms and not those of his opponants. |

personally, i believe neither of these two things... i believe both... i think he will leave of his own accord, but only when he thinks the country is on the verge of riots... |

I think Blair will leave of his own choice, but it will be heavily influenced by a fall in popularity, and by that point the in-fighting will be so bad that Labour will have lost all credibility (assuming Cameron actually has some policies by then). Overall I think Blair has been a good PM, but going to war with Iraq will have seriously ruined his place in history. |

if it wasnt for that he might in a few years time have been seen as the greatest pm britain ever had... after all the nation is in a better way than it has been at the end of any previous prime minister who lasted more than one term's reign |
