*doubts very much that a 10% pay cut for MPs would cover the gaps in government funding* |

Ah but the tax cut would increase the economic output generating more tax income from income tax and the remaining corporation tax. Also for that its now a 20% pay cut |

this bill has received official rejection from democratia's chief economist here is why: if you cut this tax by this amount, MPs would need about a 80% pay cut to compensate... otherwise you are simply reducing government expenditure, damaging the economy... if MPs saw a 80% pay cut, they would have significantly less to spend, therefore damaging consumer expenditure, and also weakening the economy as MPs feel hard done by, being placed below the average national income for the country they run... assessed effects on polls: (option 1/option 2) education no change/20% drop health no change/35% drop economy 5% drop/10% drop law and order no change/18% drop (yup, to 0) social affairs no net change/10% drop environment no change (probably) transport - 5% drop/20% drop no benefits and many losses edit: oh and government popularity would collapse |

a wise decision... the first bill would do more good than damage, but if this one went to vote and got passed it would destroy everything in democratia |

This Bill will never get through, even if it is voted upon. The country would be utterly ruined by it, and it would be incredibly hard to retrieve it. |

Still blocked. HRH has to either extend the tax to all parties, or remove it completely. |
