In ireland, people under 4 FOOT 11 INCHES and under 6 STONE you must get a booster seat for your car for your child. I think its stupid. DO you agree with this matter? |

I believe it's a good idea - it increases the effectiveness of seatbelts, decreasing the risk of injury or death. However, I grew up with booster seats anyway, so that might explain why I don't see it as such a big deal. |

I don't think its really fair. Imagine your friends laughing at you if your a small 15 year old who needs a booster seat because there are people out there small. And tere are people who would do that to there friends. |

If you were a small 15 year old, which would you prefer? Having your friends laugh at you or dieing because your seat belt didn't work properly because you didn't have a booster seat? |

Really it depends on how good the driver is, what kind of car it is, how bad the traffic is and a variety of other things. |

The booster seat rules only apply if you're under 135cm tall AND under 12, so a 15 year old wouldn't have to use one. This is in England (Scotland and Wales?), whereas in Ireland Sharky's laws apply, just to clarify Also, I think it should be possible for some exceptions to be made to the rules. For example, primary school sport fixtures and other events are almost impossible now, because if a teacher wants to drive children anywhere they have to buy lots of booster seats.
