Gah, this is in the wrong section... the Stop Press forum is for news in the simulation. Moved to real Politics EDIT: Also, S. Korea did not make a nuclear bomb, they have nothing to do with the north. In fact, they are still technically at war with each other. |

what north korea did was very bad and should not be allowed but it was extremely acceptable compared to what the USA did in WWII |

Yeah, what I don't get is why the USA should be allowed to decide that a country having nuclear weapons would be a danger to world peace, when they are the only country to have used one in anger. |

America's use of Nuclear Weapons happened a long time ago. You could use the same argument to say that Germany shouldn't be able to criticise dictatorships. Anyways, any state with nuclear weapons is a danger to world peace, so, even if we can't agree on a disarmament scheme, we should at least try to stop new countries from getting nuclear weapons themselves. Plus, N. Korea genuinely is a very dangerous country to have nuclear weapons - it's ruled by a psychotic dictator, and its economy is dominated by criminal gangs, who would probably be prepared to sell nuclear technology to other states or possibly even terrorist organisations. The situation the world finds itself in now is very alarming. |

I dont think Korea is to big a threat. They may have nukes, but so does the US, UK and even Israel. they wouldnt launch a nuclear war. They are too busy putting their own people into concentration camps. |

I don't know, they do have a habit of screaming "WE SHALL WAGE NUCLEAR WAR AGAINST THE CAPITALIST SCUM!" every now and again... except now they could probably actually do it... |

A lot of anti-west countires do that. The only real threat would be if they all made an allience with each other. but i seriously doubt they will. |

It was America who bombed hirosima and nagasaki. By that time, Hitler was dead and the allies were carving germany up into four different countries. @Pokemaniac John: I suppose the modern equivillent of an alliance would be between N. Korea and Iran, although I doubt it would happen - it would prove that America's "axis of evil" theory was correct, and justify an armed response in both countries. |
