Under this bill:

  1. The ambassadors of foreign countries to Democratia will be granted Diplomatic Immunity. If these powers are abused, however, then the Prime Minister may order the expulsion of an ambassador.
  2. The Prime Minister may send ambassadors to foreign countries recognised by Democratia.
  3. At any time, the Prime Minister may withdraw these ambassadors, if they feel that they are not being treated in an acceptable manner, or if they feel that relations between Democratia and a foriegn country have sunk to an unacceptably low level as a result of the actions of the foreign county.

Diplomatic immunity can be very easily abused. It's a dangerous thing...

By which I mean things like avoiding searches in airports and stuff. The Ambassador could be smuggling...

No.

The main reason being that that would be considered an act of war, and I'm not running adding that aspect to the game.

Does this have priority over government bills? If so we must stop Commoncold0 from using this ability to effectively veto government bills he doesn't like

Not only does it have priority, but you can't reject it. If you vote against it, it just immediatly goes to the vote again.

It's a constitutional bill, which means I need it for the game to work.

Don't worry - I'm not going to abuse this power - if I was, I would have done so sooner, to prevent the Public Transport Bill going to a vote... <_<

Why not just pass the bloody thing by default then?

Well, that would be pointless, wouldn't it?

Also, EVERYONE should vote yes to this, simply because otherwise this game is going to go all wrong: standing at 2-2 it looks like we're going to have another day wasted

Sorry, I can't disregard votes...

Anyways, I put this kind of thing to a vote because people would complain if I just stamped "PASSED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR" on it and stuck it in the statute book.

Nope, I think one of the constitutional bills I passed near the start had a majority of 1...

EDIT: Actually it was a majority of two, but this one still gets passed if it has a majority of one.
