Proposed by Eriatarka1 (note: text has been tidied), Under this bill, various age restrictions will be changed. Ages that will change: SMOKING to 15 to buy, 15 to smoke CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL to 15 to buy, 15 to drugs MARRIAGE to 16 (with or without parental permission) SEX to 16 (for all acts) BUT there will be large amounts of education proposing the ideals. i.e. those respectively of: SMOKING being polluting to the body and being unsociable CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL being polluting to the body and being unsociable MARRIAGE being a good and encouraged thing, but also not to be partaken in without serious considerations as to the nature of the relationship. SEX also being a good and encouraged thing, but strictly within the nature of a committed relationship, preferably marriage. Funding for this shall come from increased taxes on tobacco and alcohol, and a tax on contraception. The results of the vote are as follows: Ayes to the right: 3 Nos to the left: 7 The bill is therefore defeated. |
