It looks like Ming's preparing for a coalition with Brown. Will the Lib Dems end up supporting Gordon Brown? Or will any deal like that go wrong? Could being in a coalition actually cause people to abandon the Liberal Democrats? What do you think?

Seriously though, I think it would ruin the Lib Dem's election chances. One of the reasons they did so badly last century was the fact that they were always desperate to form coalitions, so people thought it was a wasted vote, as it was essentially another vote for Labour.

but the only reason that they are suggesting the possibility of coalitions is because it is likely to be a hung parliament next election... so the lib dems will have more power than at any point since the early 20th century...
