This is the parliamentary question time for questions to the Department of Transport. Members of the Commons may question the government on its transport policy. Each member is limited to one question per week. This House recognises Cieran as the Transport Secretary, and as such invites him to answer questions on behalf of the government. Other ministers may answer in his place though. This House recognises Boohistory as the Leader of the Opposition, and as such grants her the right to ask four questions per week. This House recognises Eriatarka1 as the Leader of the Birthday Party, and as such grants him the right to ask three questions per week. The government may only be asked to answer one question at a time - no new questions may be submitted until the previous one has been answered. If the government does not answer, action may be taken by the speaker of the commons. I therefore open this session with the following question: Will the government please outline to this house its transport policy? |

Well, budget allowing we plan to invest more heavily in services such as buses and trains, rather than in our roads. This is an effort to reduce CO2 emmisions, there may be subsidies for those who abstain from using there car. However, we do understand the need of some Democracians, especially those living in remote areas, to use cars, and so there still will be funding used for road maintenance. That is all... |

We will divert funds currentley in use on road maintenance, there will be no tax increase, and taxes will continue to come from the same sources as before... |

Well we plan to keep the roads on which buses travel in good condition, but there will still be roads on which they don't, for which it's not needed. Plus, we plan on more of an emphasis on rail travel than on the roads :)... |
