Original Article: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/poli...icle1530537.ece According to Sir Alistair Graham, of Britain's public standards watchdog, Blair is guilty of seven deadly sins: 1) Cash for Honours - Blair's decision to take secret loans from donors. 2) Iraq War - The way the arguments were presented to the public ( the dodgy dossier) 3) "Sofa-style" decision making - undermining democratic safeguards 4) BAE's arms deal scandal - political interference by Blair resulted in the case being dropped. 5) Setting up an independant whitehall commitee to moniter ministerial conduct, but failing to refer a single minister to it. 6) Postal Voting on Demand - ignoring criticism and leaving the system open to fraud. 7) Spin - making the public sceptical of everything the government said. Because of these, Sir Alistair claims that this government has eroded public trust, and that'll be Blair's legacy. Do you think that's a fair assesment? Do you think Blair's done worse things? What do you think? |

Regardless of the bad points I think Blair has actually done a decent job. The Labour Party has had a succesful few terms so far and will hopefully continue to do so. Actually, I think that if Blair stood again he'd almost certainly get in again. |

Meh labour has not been so bad. I have never trusted anything MPs have to say anyway. The only personal beef I have with them is the ever increasing higher education costs they create. even Blair had his education paid for with government grants..... I will have a £10,000 debt
