Gordon Brown has received so many nominations that it is now impossible for anyone else to even stand against him...

...and recently the weather's been miserable. Coincidence? I think not!

...

It's irritating that Brown's going to be the next Prime Minister though... and he probably won't fact the electorate until 2010...

And if Brown loses at the election, he'll be a rare case of a Prime Minister who wasn't elected into office.

Shame really. I wanted the other guy to win, he was actually left wing :(. Apparently there's no place for the true lefty in the country anymore. If only he'd got the support...

Not really that rare actually:

Balfour, Chamberlain, Douglous-Holme, Callaghan... all Prime Ministers since 1900 who never won a general election.

So that's 1 in 5, not that rare.

But was there actually a contest for their titles?

Oh right, I see what you mean...

There might not have been for some of the Tories. Traditonally, a departing leader would name their choice of successor, and that would be it.

That isn't necessarily a bad thing. ;)

Brown should not be PM for 3 simple reasons:

1. is a Communist, and he really believes that communisium works for the good of everyone

2. he's also is a religous nut

3. and he's bitter because it should have been him instead of Tony

You've joined the wrong simulation lol.

Communism is currently in power. In fact virtually all the parties that have ever been in power have at least been moderatly left-wing.

Communism does rule...

Brown is not communist. He lacks a moustache and just isn't.

Actually, I'd say that the Hyrule Scrolls government was centre-right.

*mutters darkly*

@ Cieran: Look at the responses you and Savage gave to questions in parliament. You were centre-right. ;)
