This is the parliamentary question time for questions to the Home Office. Members of the Commons may question the government on Home Office policies. Each member is limited to one question per week. This House recognises Ciean as the Secretary of State for the Home Office, and as such invites him to answer questions posed to the government. Other ministers may answer in his place though. This House recognises Miniyoda008 as the Leader of the Opposition, and as such grants him the right to ask six questions per week. The government may only be asked to answer one question at a time - no new questions may be submitted until the previous one has been answered. If the government does not answer, action may be taken by the speaker of the commons. I therefore open this session with the following question: Will the government please outline to this house its law and order policies? |

Erm, well, we believe in continuing to improve the home...and stuff, and all that...just, basically trying to make it better. But in a Boo Way. (Yes, that oughta' hold it off). (Erm, what does the Home Secretary actually do?)... |

It is the duty of the home secretary to legislate on issues of law and justice. Now that you understand this, would you like to rethink your opening comments? |

Okay, well, we think that it's important to have a strong police force, and will be taking the initiative in regard to issues; as well as this we may try to improve the current situation, and also I think we need more prisons cos they're all overcrowded at the moment. And we oppose police brutality (I think). Oh yeah, and we wanna remove corruption in the forces... |

Later in the term a police watchdog will be set up. Someone who will police the police, as the clichéd phrase goes... |

That's actually "guard the guards", as in quis custodiet...Google it yourself. Anyway, what exactly would you class as police brutality and corruption? |

Order, order! The government has stated that it has not yet come up with a definition for police brutality and corruption. I believe that to be an acceptable response to the question, and the opposition may regard this as a victory over the government on this issue. Anyways, point of order not sustained. Next question please. |

Well we would have to take it as given that those who, as eriatarka put it "guard the guards" would not be corrupt, as we can't simply have an infinite line of investigators, all investigating their underlings, you have to draw the line somewhere, and this is where I would draw it... |

Can the home secretary assure us that the public will not be expected to pay directly for these proposed ID cards, and that taxes will not be raised to pay for this measure either? |
