http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6713255.stm Who do you think should be in Brown's cabinet? Post your choices here! Here's mine: ![]() Deputy PM Johnson will probably get the job I think. He'll win the deputy leadership position because he's more working class than the others. Home Gordon Brown's not going to forgive Miliband for almost standing against him. But he can't sack him from the cabinet, because that'll be too obvious. Instead, Brown will give him the job of Home Secretary, and in a few months Miliband will have to resign from the job after another 1000 peadophiles/terrorists/immigrants (delete as appropriate) go missing. Environment Balls is Brown's right hand man. As environment secretary, he'll be able threaten the electorate with hosepipe bans unless they vote for Brown. Culture It's the department of culture. Nobody cares who's in charge. Foreign Jack Straw can have his old job back. And then get the blame when Gordon invades Iran/North Korea/Belgium. Justice "Ministry of Justice" sounds scary, so Brown will put the least scary person in the world in charge of it. Step forward Ruth Kelly. Defence I'm willing to be that if she was put in charge of defence, we'd be annexed by France within days. Health Beckett can replace Hewitt as Health Secretary. I'm not sure anybody will realise that there's been a change. Education Hazel Blears has to get a job in the cabinet, to ensure that she doesn't have any free time to make more "Nuts about Hazel" t-shirts. Also, she'll be able to laugh at Alan Johnson when he realises that being education secretary was much better than being deputy prime minister. Chancellor Why not?

I'll tell you why not - because Blair doesnt know the least thing about economics... he's always left that side of things entirely to Gordon... if Gordon doesnt want nationwide riots, he will NOT put Blair as chancellor. In fact, this is by far and away Blair's weakest area. |

My joke choices: Deputy PM - Charles Clarke Chancellor - Jon Kruddas (always good to just shove some random guy who youve never heard of before into position of chancellor) Education - Michael Jackson <_< Health - Jack Straw Defence - Alistair Darling - always reliable if you want to mess things up Justice - Adolf Hitler <_< Foreign - Tony Blair who is of course well loved and trusted for his foreign policy. Culture - John Reid Home office - Kitty Ussher (again, good idea to shove someone youve never heard of in here) Environment - George Bush :ph43r: |
