This is the parliamentary question time for questions to the Treasury. Members of the Commons may question the government on its economic and financial policies. Each member is limited to one question per week. This House recognises that there is no appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer, and so opens the floor to all ministers. This House recognises HRH King Charles III as the Leader of the Opposition, and as such grants him the right to ask six questions per week. The government may only be asked to answer one question at a time - no new questions may be submitted until the previous one has been answered. If the government does not answer, action may be taken by the speaker of the commons. I therefore open this session with the following question: Will the government please outline to this house its economic and financial policies? |

Well, as the populace are no doubt aware, the economy is in tatters, and Democratia is in recession. We can see no soon end to this crisis, but hope that eventually things will get better. Naturally this isn't much consolation for those of us living in the present, so we will be trying our hardest to alleviate current problems. We may look into the prospect of applying for foreign aid... |

Foreign aid is one of many possible solutions that we have considered. It is not our only option. |

The events at the Niattish embassy occurred before the start of this parliamentry term. as for the events at the Flettish embassy, the only real thing that has now happened is that we most completely rule out the possibility of foreign aid. |

We may have to resort to such drastic measures as cutting interest rates, but there is clearly a much more important dilemma at stake here, so priorities must be made. |
