Headlines Today: Tiffin Shortage Resolved. Toffs Rejoice! -Pokemaniac John A large shipment of tiffin arrived from Exilia earlier today, and this should allow enough time for Ostentia's tiffin factories to start producing enough for all the posh toffs who arrived from Democratia in the last few weeks. HRH King Zog II is to be thanked for this emergancy shipment of tiffin, as shortly t after we first published an article on the shortage, he ordered that exilia send some. His royal highness has yet to make an official comment. Lord Topper, a posh toff we had an interview with in issue four, said that "One finally has a satisfactory amount of tiffin once again. HRH King Zog II has my thanks." One of his seven cooks, Annet Byrde, said that "Lord Topper nearly 'ad an 'eart attack when 'e found out we 'adn't got no tiffin! I don't know who this "Zog" person from "Exilia" is, but 'e'd best send some more next week!" While HRH's actions seem mostly popular, a group of business men from Democratia are appualed. "If HRH King Zog II hadn't sent that tiffin, business men from Democratia like us could have sold tiffin to Ostentia at outrageous, er-- I mean outrageously good prices, which would have been a great help to the economy of Democratia, which is in a terrible state recently," said one protesting business man. He added that "You've made some powerfull enemies, HRH! Don't underestimate the business men of Democratia!!" Besides the protesting business men, everyone seems pleased that HRH had some tiffin sent from Exilia. In Other News: End Of The Line For Charles Deane? -Pokemaniac John It seems likely that Charles Deane, newsreader for Ostentian World News, may risk losing his job after making several mistakes throughout the September 20th broadcast. He is reported to have said "Ululululu, I don't care!", and some of the broadcast took several takes before he finally got it right. At the moment, the future looks bleak for Charles Deane, though some think he may be offered a job working for Boo Media. No Boo Media official has made any comment on the matter. New Article: Fierce Battle In The Commons! -Pokemaniac John Just a few minutes ago, the house of commons was a raging war ground with Opposition leader Pokemaniac John and HRH King Zog II on one side, and speaker of the commons Commoncold0 on the other. No less than four motions have been made, all trying to out do the last. First, HRH proposed a guillotine motion which would prevent the Rail Network Bill from being voted on during this session of parliament, then CC0 proposed a legislation motion affecting the same bill. The guillotine motion was then adopted by P. John, but that wouldn't have been enough to get it put to a vote first, so the National Rail Bill was created. This has now been adopted by P. John and a legislation motion made. There may be more updates on this later. Weekly Lamp Post™ Of Ostentia, © Pokemaniac John Publishin ltd. All rights reserved. |

Considering I own Ostentian World News, that seems highly unlikely to me. Also, the ENTIRE broadcast took several takes before I got it right. I recorded it all at once and then spliced in the sports/record attempt/weather scenes later. |
