Under this bill all railway networks will be considered to be under government control. The government will run these railways at cost to provide cheap affordable transport for the masses. It will becom illegal to privatise the railways without first buying out all the shareholders for at least £300 per share. Each citizen will be considered to own 1 share in the national rail network. This bill will not require funding as the rail network is run at cost and covered under the existing transport budget. |

BLOCKED On the grounds that it is negative nonsense. If you want your plan to work, you have roughly half an hour to redraft this into a bill confirming national control of the rail network. EDIT: Also Blocked on the grounds that it has a name conflict. |

A few points: 1. Name change done. 2. A railway run at cost still requires funding to run it. Just state that the costs are already covered by the existing transport budget. 3. Your threats don't scare me. I can simply add a clause repealing this bill to any privatisation bill I come up with. Then I wouldn't have to pay a thing. ![]() 4. I'll unblock this bill as soon as you've sorted out point 2. |

But running at cost wouldn't have the slightest effect on funding... Ah well, you've stated a reasonable source of funding, even if you have surrounded it with gibberish. Bill Unblocked. |

I really have no idea what's going on 0_o. And I'm minister for transport! I think I was going to propose something like this, dunno. But I wanted free rail and a hike in road tax to pay for maintenance and stuff... |

Just make an amendment bill later. Also, the new Weekly Lamp Post™ article sort of sums it up. |
