The latest bill, of progressive taxation, seems to be a massive success, with no votes against it in parliament as of yet, and also the vast majority of the public giving this bill their full support. "It's a dream come true," said an anonymous resident we interviewed on the train earlier today "finally taxes are being fairer... no more will the poor people have to pay so much of what they need to survive in taxes. hooray for social and taxation justice!"
This last statement was met with cheers from all around.

However, after much searching we have managed to find someone opposed to it.

"It's utterly proposterous" said Lord S. Elvish-Boarsted, owner of the largest estate agents firm in Ostentia. "Why should I, who have worked so hard all these years to rip people off to help my own personal fortune, be forced to give up more of my income than those sods who just cant be bothered to go out and make themselves a few trillions? Ludicrous!"

Lord Elvish-Boarsted stood in the last election for the "Ye Olde Toriese Partye" but only attracted the vote of 2 of the 17000 who voted in his constituency, and as such was thankfully not elected.
