Shocking news ensues with the latest: EXILIAN ECHO HRH King Zog I Dies at age 87! His Retired Highness King Zog I died today in his sleep in the Forbidden Palace. King Zog I founded Exilia over 50 Years ago after the Autocracian-Fletland War when he was deposed in absentum after being forced into exile by a military coup. King Zog lead Exilia to greatness after capturing many Autocracian colonies from Democratia in a blitzkrieg campaign which forced Democratia into a policy of military isolationism. He brought prosperity to the greater Exilian empire through his tax benifits for business and gave the people more say in the government by creating the elected Privy council. 5 Years ago he retired passing the monarchy onto his son HRH King Zog II who left the country in the guidance of the privy council whilst he explored the world. HRH King Zog I will be the first of Exilia's national heroes to be buried in the recently completed St Peters Mausoleum. Border controls relaxed Following pressure from the Privy council King Zog II has agreed to relax the isolationist border policies to allow further trade with other countries. Critics have claimed this could help viruses such as the Exilian vine virus spread but the Privy council decided that the ability to open new channels of trade was worth the risk. This Newspaper is amoung the benificaries of the new controls with the release of the new weekly International edition Exilian Peacekeeping forces withdraw from Democratia The Exilian Peacekeeping Corps were forced into a strategic retreat today after remenants of the communist Daleks surfaced in Democratia city and began a campaign for control of the country. Lacking the heavy weaponry to fight such a force the EPC made a full evacuation via Duninvadin. The annoyed Privy council failed to understand the hostility towards the peacekeeping forces which were preventing Democratia from sliding into ruin and are considering taking the nuclear option against the Dalek forces The Exilian Echo-Better news for a better nation |
