The Government's Hospital Hygiene Standards Motion was passed unanimously among MPs earlier today, but the government's support from the public seems to be weakening slightly. Analysts point to several possible reasons behind this: - some people have criticised the government for becoming infatuated with targets, as opposed to actual achievements, which as an argument has been strengthened by the latest bill, despite actual clear improvements to the health service. - despite the governments attempts at covering it up, an earlier comment by the foreign secretary about the sources of his information has left the public's trust in the government dented - perhaps permanently. However, the state of the country has generally been improving, and support remains very high. |

When did we try to "cover it up"? He said he heard rumours of an island of diamonds. No one ever asked where from. Also, how can people think we are "becoming infatuated with targets, as opposed to actual achievements"? Surely the fact that so many of our promises have already been fulfilled disproves that.

Since when did we cover it up afterwards? All I did was, perfectly rightly, defend HRH's actions. |

OOC: why is everyone getting in a fuss about those 3 words? your defense/cover up/whatever you want to call it DID lead to popularity recovering the 1% that it dropped from HRH's actions... so stop complaining. |

Ah, OK. It was just that the term 'cover up' is negative, suggesting that it had made us lose popularity - but it's all OK now. |
