Civil Servants Strike!

Civil Servants have tonight walked out of Government HQ, accusing the government of not allocating the funds necessary for them to carry out their jobs. They have left government HQ completely unmanned, preventing the government from reaching the cabinet office or making announcements. They are also preventing anyone from accessing the national factfiles or the cabinet records. The problem seems to lie in the fact that the Foreign Service Bill failed to provide the funding necessary for the administration budget. All sides are hoping for a swift resolution to this dispute.

However I don't have the budget power

Actually, you do. For some reason, it seems to have become a custom for every government minister to be given budget powers, whatever their department...

Hah! Yes, critics can say that the Boo Party was slow to act with the Teacher crisis if they want. But at least we still listened to the government we ran! The F&V=P Party can't even control itself, what gives them the right to rule?

However, critics can also rightfully say that the Boo Party did almost nothing to improve the state of the country throughout their time in power. We on the other hand have already passed 9 bills through parliament, all of which are benefitial to our fine nation, and are currently in the process of establishing diplomatic relations with a foreign country. Put that in your pipe and smoke it (not literaly, as I'm anti-smoking). -_-

Good government never depends upon laws, but upon the personal qualities of those who govern. The machinery of government is always subordinate to the will of those who administer that machinery.

We were the first government. We're technically inexperienced, so you can't really blame us. You can learn from our mistakes...

Oh really? What about all the experience you've gained from your years of being a major party in Boondoxia?

Boondoxia has a very different system of politics to Ostentia as a whole. It's very confusing. For one thing it's much smaller than Ostentia as a whole...

As you see the Boo Party is ill equipped to deal with such confusing concepts such as size.
