The Apeiron Argus F&V=P Party Losing Support? Earlier this week, the government was brought to its knees following a strike by its own core of administration. This blemish on the Fruit & Veg = Perfection Party's term is one which the opposition, the Boo Party, has leapt upon. Claiming that a government which can't even control its self should not be in control of the country. The Prime Minister, Pokemaniac John, responded by accusing the previous administration of being lax in its process of running the country. Boo Party spokesperson, Inevitable, stated publicly that, "Good government never depends upon laws, but upon the personal qualities of those who govern. The machinery of government is always subordinate to the will of those who administer that machinery." The F&V=P Party has yet to comment on this, but isn't expected to get far against such an accurate statement. 53 year old Aihar Taboo, a Nashish farmer and recent grandmother and former F&V=P loyalist had the following to say; "I used to support Pokemaniac John and his friends. They were all so pro-farming and all, right? But this term has slowly been persuading me from their side. First they elected that monarchist, King Zog the whatever. Now, my grandfather's fathers laid down their lives fighting Nashun's royals all them years ago before we became a democracy. I don't want one of them good for nothing tax drainers running my country! Ha! Then their new member began his plans for discovering foreign nations. I almost gave in there, let me tell you, Nashun and now Ostentia have always survived on their own. Opening our borders will just bring in immigrants, stealing our jobs. And now this crisis happened. The Boo Party, I now realise, are what will make Ostentia what it should be. Every incorrect step the F&V=P party have made, the Boo Party has fought. The talking today only proved that the Boo Party know everything there is about politics. Yes, I'll be voting Boo this election, no doubt 'bout that." The views of Aiha are not alone in Ostentia. Much of the F&V=P's power base in Nashun are switching sides. This is reflected in many other countries, notably Fondrop, which fears immigrants will see it as little more than a road to the rest of Ostentia. Tsunami Crisis Averted by Boo! Pending the news that Democratia, a country only known to exist through HRH King Zog II's international news relations, had sunk beneath the sea, some began to panic that a tidal wave would quickly sweep the nation. Fears were confirmed earlier today. The approaching tsunami would have caused the devastation of several coastal settlements and probably devastated the Northern Islands and Valaxia, even to the point of destroying their hold fishing economy. Fortunately, quick reactions by the Boo Party saved Ostentia from this crisis. The solution is credited to Boohistory, illustrious founder of the Boo Party. Her plan of filling the nearby oceans with an environmentally-friendly gelatinous substance, not unlike jelly, called Solicium Gel-methide, to absorb most of the shock from the wave worked wonders. The substance, the creation of which is credited to Boo Labs, is described as being able to allow the free movement of the sea's occupants while still being enough to prevent a disaster. All chemicals from the Solicium Gel-methide have now broken down and its effects completely removed. The Northern Islands have requested that today be forever known as Boo Day in commemoration. Boohistory herself modestly commented that "It was my duty to Ostentia, I do not deserve anything." Next Week Next week's news will include the results of the election and some other stuff which we don't know about because it hasn't happened yet, silly. Special Feature: The Seven National Landmarks of Ostentia - Far more interesting than similar features done by another newspaper from another country. The Apeiron Argus - The many eyed guardian of Ostentia. A Product of Boo Media. |
