This is for 2 reasons

1. CC0 might not have noticed the re-movement

2. It can be a 3rd motion if the second is voted down

The question is that this house approve the government's proposed budget.

As many who are of that opinion say aye,
Aye!
To the contrary no,
No!

Division!

As it is very likely people will think we are putting too much on education, I would like to point out to you this memo:

Thread in Cabinet Records

From: The permenant secretary at the Ministry of Education and Finance.
To: The Cabinet Office.

Memo

Dear sirs,

I am writing to inform you that officials at the ministry have concluded that, while we currently have enough funding for subsidised university education, we expect this cost to increase significantly over time as more students opt for university education. Although no action currently needs to be taken, this information should be considered when planning for the budget at the start of the next parliamentary term.

Hopefully this will improve the budget in the eyes of people who thought 11 budget units was too much.

The figure for the total number of units available is still inaccurate, disagreeing with the information above and below

*votes against again*

That is simply a misprint. All the units we have allocated are available to allocate

Also, it would be useful if people would point this out, rather than voting against it twice and then complaining about it.

Misprint corrected by me as I should have spotted it before putting it to a vote.

May I request that the vote be re-started now that the misprint has been corrected? Or will we have to make another motion?

Well, do you honestly think that the mistake is the real reason the budget is being defeated?

Yes, you can, but it is likely to damage your standing in the polls. Do you want to?

I hardly think that's sensible, restarting a bill because someone made a typo. I mean, in reality bills are thousands of pages long, I'm sure there are plenty of typos...

Yes, the bill is being defeated because of it. Plqx voted against it because of it, and persumably would have voted for it otherwise. And noone has given any other reason for voting against it.
