Headlines Today: Budget Defeated; Northern Isles Reaching Crisis Point!
-Pokemaniac John

On Nov 14 2007, 08:57 PM, the governments first budget proposal was defeated in parliament. Becuase of this, the Northern Isles are reaching crisis point, as they desperately need some recovery funds. One political critic, Mr. A. Non, had this to say:

"While I wouldn't care to say it is so (for fear of the BORG bein sent to find me), it seems highly likely the Boo Party have been using their many war machines and such like to intimidate others into voting against the government's budget, so as to damage popularity. After all, the Boo Party have a long history of using shady political tactics to force their rivals out of power. This then leads to the country bein run by a bad government, which in turn leads to absoloute chaos. But as I said, I'm not telling you that this is what's happening. It's merely what's almost certainly happening."

Many other political critics agree thoughroughly with Mr. A. Non, though all those who actually said this is happening died under suspicious circumstances before they could be interviewed.

In Other News: Recent Book A Bestseller
-Pokemaniac John

A recently published book, Lies of Anullac, has already out-sold the famous novel Harriet Painswick and the Wizard's Pebble.

Lies of Anullac, by Zahod Propoved, an author hailing from Jayakar, region capital of Fondrop, tells the story of a fictional political party, the Oob Party, and how they stood aside and watched as the country of Communistia fell to ruin as a result of their shady political practices and terrible policies.

Gossip Lady #1: This newspaper has really gone down hill. You used to be able to trust the Weekly Lampost to give unbiased views, but not anymore. All they ever report on is how the Boo Party are bad.

Gossip Lady #2: Yes, I know what you mean. Look at this week's article. The F&V=P Party are trying to blame the Boo Party for their failings.

Gossip Lady #1: Mind you, I did enjoy that book about the Oob Party. I hear the auther is a staunch Boo Party supporter, and so he wrote that book about the Boo Party's opposite.

Gossip Lady #2: Oh, I see what you mean. The name is a reflection of "Boo".

Well, obviously. At least one party around here has to care about the environment. Litter disposal is a necessary part of a nation.
