The Apeiron Argus (now with 50% less controversy)

Fabled Island Found?

A matter of days ago, a diving expedition discovered the ruins of a vast city hidden beneath the sea off the west coast of Ostentia. Some believe they’ve discovered the fabled lost island of Etlantea. The story goes that Etlantea was home to the most advanced culture of Ostentia, but sinned against the gods somehow, who proceeded to sink their island beneath the waves. Estimated to be approximately twice the size of Valaxia, the landmass possesses a clear edge encircling it. At its centre lies the apparent city. If this turns out to be Etlantea it will be the historic find of the century, proving conspiracy theorists were right all along. Etlantea has previously enjoyed a large amount of publicity from the science fiction community.

Counter-Terrorist Forces Back Again?!

During a campaign to stop the use of Fairy Liquid earlier this week, a promotion for the popular Boo Cleaner was silenced. One witness, the Speaker of the House, CommonCold0, had this to say: “I was there when it happened. One moment the advert was up, the next it wasn‘t. The leader of the Boo Party, Inevitable, had already told the people that Fairy Liquid was an Exilian product. It‘s obvious that the advert was removed in an act of sabotage by the Exilian CT Forces. It‘s probable that they were in the employ of the Fairy corporation. Once they realised we were on to them however, they put the ad back!”

Yet another overtly aggressive move by the Exilian nation. However, pending news of a government change in Exilia, some believe that this was mere a desperate attempt by the ruling government to gain more power and avoid losing the election. Alternatively, the CT Force responisible may have been a rebelious section.

Boo Labs software star?

Boo Labs recently released they’re newest piece of computer software, the BooOS operating system. This comes three weeks after the release of os.exa, an imported, government supported operating system, which is chased by rumours of privacy breaches and external access by paramilitary organisations.

BooOS is a free, open source system which hopes to replace the outdated Doorway operating system, which Ostentia has used for many years now. It features maximum compatibility with any program in Ostentia, including those of its rival system. Its open source nature makes it highly customisable, with several add-ons having already been developed, though it features several simple customising options for those without technical expertise. BooOS uses the Fissure™ security system (the only part of BooOS which isn‘t open source) which has been compared with existing, commercial security packages. Other pre-installed software include BooOS’s web browser, Aperture Explorer, another open source package which promises enhanced security, speed and features when compared to its rivals.

Computer manufacturers have not yet commented on which OS they’ll make proprietary.

The Charts

This week in the world of music, Speaker‘s “Still In Power” is still in power at number one.

Previous nationwide hit, “Mud Slap“, by Supreme Leader has received a burst of popularity and rocketed to number 2.

Fallen to number three is Speaker’s “A Long, Long Time Ago (NOE Pie)”.

That would be me. I mentioned it in passing that on an early map of Ostentia you showed me there was an island there but that you removed it later. He seemed intent on including it in the article. It wasn't any harmful piece of information, I assumed you'd removed it from the simulation. Even at that stage you said it wasn't supposed to be there...

Yeah, I'd guessed it had come from you. I was just a little suprised to see it mentioned. That island was actually the original Boondoxia.
