A bitter dispute was breaking out this evening between the managers of Ostentian Rail and trade union leaders over the issue of railway workers' pay. The Ostentian Railway Workers Union has demanded an above inflation wage increase for drivers, guards and station staff. The union claims that this is to compensate for the increasingly stressful nature of working in the rail network following the increase in passenger numbers since nationalisation. Ostentian Rail has however rejected the pay demands, stating that Ostentian Rail's employees already earned more than those in other public sectors, and that any pay increase would be in line with the rate of inflation. Although talks are still going on, the ORWU has hinted at the possibility of industrial action. |

It's not a disaster - I'm not intending to cause a crash any time soon. That only happened because the HS government was so ridiculously inactive. |
