It has tonight been confirmed that a Northern Isles assembly member has defected from the F&V=P Party to the Seperatist Party, giving the Seperatist Regional Government a majority in the assembly for the first time. At a press conference, the governor of the Northern Isles, Toby Allander, welcomed the news and refused to rule out holding a referendum on independance for the Northern Isles. Many believe that this latest shift in regional politics marks a turning point, but where the region goes from here is unknown. |

A referendum is a vote on a certain issue by the public rather than the MPs. There was gonna be one on whether we accept the Lisbon Treaty or not, but the MPs voted against it... |
