Government accused of "breaking promises"

The government is tonight having to defend itself against allegations made by several senior political commentators that accuse the government of failing to stand by the policy commitments they made over the last term. Critics point out that despite a pledge made by the government soon after gaining power, diplomatic relations have not been established with Nellapaland. Others have pointed to education proposals which completely failed to materialise. Pollsters predict that trust in the government is likely to have been damaged, and that over the long term the F&V=P's reputation on areas such as foreign affairs and education may have been damaged.

In other news, parliament has been dissolved in the run up to the general election. The cabinet records are expected to be released tomorrow.
