Inevitable has once again been elected as Prime Minister of Ostentia, following the defeat of the F&V=P Party in yesterday's election. The Boo Party won the election by a comfortable margin, despite opinion polls showing that the party was still unpopular with voters. The outgoing Prime Minister, Pokemaniac John, is expected to become the Leader of the Opposition. In other news, voters in the Northern Isles will be going to the polls again today, as they vote on a referendum over the issue of independance. The results will be announced tomorrow. It is unclear where the Boo Party stands on this issue. |

So...we won...but why are we still behind in the polls 0_o. The FVP party started out with their percentage of votes as their popularity... |

This was a triumph. I, as Prime Minister, will be making a note in my diary: HUGE SUCCESS. Indeed, I'm so satisfied with this result, I'm finding it hard to state it. The Boo Party: We do what we must, because we can. And we do it for the good of everyone. Except those who aren't under our jurisdiction. But there's no sense crying over the FVP Party's mistakes. We'll just keep on trying until we run out of budget units. And, as a result, the voting will get done and new legislation will be passed to solve the issue, for the people of Ostentia. |

That was a complete coincidence. Both parties officially started on ratings of 50%. When they won the election, their rating went up 10% to 60% - which just happened to be their share of the vote - therefore their popularity rating. PS: The popularity rating is calculated differently now. PPS: On a side note, the two main parties now have "core issues" for them to focus on. The Boo Party should make sure it's doing well in the economy polls, while the F&V=P Party should make sure it makes its transport polices well known. |

I take exception with this arbitary allocation of core issues. The Boo party is Communist and thus fails at economy and F&V=P are trying to get rid of transport entirely to reduce CO2 commissions. Therefore CC0 wants everybody to fail. |

Regardless of your ideaologies, these issues are what voters have associated your parties with because you focused on these issues during your last term. EDIT: For the record, issues will be reallocated every election. |
