I remember that day, my dad wouldn't let me watch TV because he wanted to watch the coverage. He was very happy as I recall, but when I asked him about it in 2005 he says he was misled. I think that's a common feeling...

The sad thing is though, with the delays caused by postal voting, we're probably not going to get dramatic election nights anymore. And I really wanted to hear the BBC election music blared out as Ed Balls loses his seat in 2010!
