I move that the house declare its support for the Boondoxian Police in dealing with those responsible for the shooting of Mr. Allander and the explosion of the office of the Home Secretary and note that his department has received an increased budget to deal with the crisis.

A support motion?

That's a pity. I was hoping for a more substantial government response.

The fact that the Government must apparently state this support of the police officialy indicates in my opinion that something is terribly wrong in the Boondoxian Police...

Think of it more as a "Good luck" thing actually...

No,

Let me make this very clear, I support the efforts of the Boondoxian police in their efforts to hunt down these killers. However, I feel that the government is taking an incredibly short-sighted and narrow view of the entire situation. While we are busy hunting for Mr Allander's killers, the Northern Isles is caught in a dangerous power vacuum. From what I can gather, the Separatist Party is still in chaos and no new Governor - or even an acting Governor - has been appointed. Regional government is collapsing, and the Boo Party appears to be unaware of this.

I strongly believe that normality needs to be restored in the Northern Isles as soon as possible. The government does not seem to be taking this view. It is my hope that they may begin to take some notice if they suffer a defeat in parliament. That is why I am voting against this motion, and I urge my fellow MPs to do the same. Thank you.

I guess we will do what every other government does. Hold a local election. not exactly rocket science, nor indeed is this situation overly panic enducing. I mean, would you honestly care if your local counciller died? no, you might attend his funeral but you wouldnt riot :-/
